Monarchy Live: Ragley Hall in Warwickshire is proud to present an exciting, new boutique music festival for this summer that will take place on Saturday 4th July. Royal Shakespeare Company: RSC Artistic Director Michael Boyd directs As You Like It, Shakespeare’s comedy of romance and confusing gender roles. It runs in repertoire in Stratford until 3rd October 2009. Lucy Bailey makes her RSC directorial debut with Julius Caesar, a masterpiece of political powerplay and manipulation. Severn Valley Railway: Severn Valley Railway is the perfect day for everyone both young and old. The railway has many different events throughout the year from the ever-popular 1940s: Severn Valley in Bloom, The Seaside Special weekend in September, Land Rover Day and the Santa Steam Specials at Christmas, plus many other events. The one-hour steam train journey between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth in period carriages hauled by historic steam locomotives remains the railway’s main showcase. The 1940s weekend is steeped in time war history. The stations are all dressed to the 1940s with military vehicles, re-enactors, The Anderson Shelter, air raid siren and the battle at Highley Station. Walking with Dinosaurs - The Arena Spectacular: After years of planning, the award-winning BBC TV series, Walking with Dinosaurs comes to life in a stunning theatrical event. Internationally renowned designers have worked with scientists to create 15 life-size dinosaurs. Audiences will see the greatest creatures ever to walk the earth return before their very eyes. The show depicts the dinosaurs’ evolution, complete with the climatic and tectonic changes that took place, which led to the demise of many species.
